Attack of The Boston Symphony Orchestra!

Talk about an absurd waste of money! The BSO is contesting the name of my historic Stockbridge farm because they apparently think someone might confuse "Tangledweed Farm" (with a cannabis leaf logo below the name) with their music venue "Tanglewood" (with a tree logo above the name). Let's be clear: I have NO connection with the BSO nor do I want any connection with them. Also, most people that buy my items have never heard of Tanglewood and are drawn more towards the story of the house restoration and the cannabis leaf and "weed" part of the name. I have been using this name for six years now, since I bought the property March 1, 2017. I have printed and sold sweatshirts and tee shirts for years to publicize my efforts to restore this fine, old farm in the heart of the Berkshires. This web site, also named Tangledweed, is dedicated to that restoration. Furthermore, after much review and a challenge from the BSO, the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office granted me permission to use the name exclusively going forward. But my "good neighbors" at the BSO think the USPTO erred in doing so and have repeatedly tried to delay my use of the name. See record of the case below. Every one of my fellow year round Stockbridge residents that I have spoken with believe it is just another case of the BSO trying to push around their country cousins out here in "the sticks". I've also spoken to merchants who sponsor the BSO season in the Berkshires and they are surprised at such a questionable use of money. I'll keep fighting the good fight, however. At least the lawyers get paid!
